What you’ll do

You’ll be joining the team as a VR Technician. The Technician, in partnership with the guest services team, will be responsible for delivering exceptional location based Virtual Reality experiences.

  • Follow written and verbal directions and procedures from THE VOID
  • Ensure adequate staffing is in place to cover each shift
  • Assist in the hiring, leading and mentoring of front-line technicians
  • Assign positions and shift rotations according to the strengths of the team
  • Be an expert at Troubleshooting hardware and System Issues
  • Run regular checks of technology, keep equipment clean, and maintain equipment properly.
  • Ensure the tech team runs regular checks of technology, keep equipment clean, and maintain equipment properly
  • Maintain inventory of all systems and hardware
  • Oversee maintainance and calibration of systems and hardware
  • Perform Technicians functions
  • Maintain service log and create tickets for issues
  • Act as a first point of escalation and escalate issues to VOID support as necessary


  • At least 5 years of experience working in IT, with hands on experience with hardware, servers, and systems
  • Previous experience in a leadership role required
  • Experience working with Windows OS
  • Experience testing equipment following established procedures
  • Ability to follow and give written and oral instructions
  • Minimum of an Associates Degree in IT or related field, Bachelors degree preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted, climb, bend, twist, stoop and kneel on a regular basis
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to be on-call
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
